Also its worth pointing out that most people who drive new/newish bmw/Volkswagen/audi don't own them.

^This.
When your neighbour drives a brand new/almost new car (on lease) that costs 2-3 times more than your car and quotes your car being expensive because you paid cash for it (which only costs 1/3 than his car!) shows the state of affairs we are in.

I was more annoyed by the comment of a friend with an Evo (who uses it 3 months a year as he can't afford it but keeps modifying it on the other hand!) when I told him I am taking the Panda on track.

"Slow"/"normal" (type what you wish) cars are not supposed to be taken on track :bang:

Let's enjoy what we have guys and let others think what they want, a car is a means of transport while having fun and not a show off symbol like the majority thinks unfortunately.

Hi,

I totally agree!! I'm sick to death of people smirking when I said I drive a Fiat Panda. One particular individual said ''your old car [MK2 Ford Focus] was so cool, why didn't you replace it with something cool, not a Panda.'' I pointed out that the Panda drives beautifully, doesn't have a spot of rust (which is something I was planning on sorting out on the Focus) and has bags of character.

I love my Panda and wouldn't change him for the world. :D
