the interior part within the door which allows the door to be opened

Hi, i cannot open the passengers door on my Y reg Bravo. it looks as if a small moulded metal part which isw picked up by opening the door has broken off. i cannot fdind a name for the part, nor dso i have a part number. Anyone any idea wgat it is. Anyone got the part for sale\/
