On my phone on one profile I have Blink 182 - **** a dog in the ****
and for when I am in dignified company, Morrissey - Irish Blood, English Heart.
Both are proper MP3s.

I had a similar thing. lol. My old phone had a really loud cockrel on the alarm and if I rolled in the night and my head was near the phone it would absolutely scare the life out of me.

Ive got a great Ring Ring on mine. Ive got an mp3 of Donkey from Shrek singing "Im a Believer", but after following the instructions, my stupid fone still wont let me set it as a ringtone.

I used to have the SPV100 and just uploaded tunes from the PC via IR. At that time I had Cancion Del Mariachi by Los Lobos as the main ringtone and How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore (remix) by Alicia Keys, for my missus, which I thought was an ironic tune to have.

On my current phone, I have the Buffy theme tune as my main ringtone, The Beautiful People by Marylin Manson for the missus and In A Gadda Da Vida by Slayer for text messages.
