Technical The Creak

Hi,

I've got the dreaded front suspension creak from the offside. Its apparent when I accelerate/deccelerate, go over a speedbump or turn left/right. Worse at low speeds.

It flew through the MOT despite making the noise when they drove it on the ramp. They said they can't fail it unless they know what's causing it and no excessive play was found in the suspension.

I've replaced the top mounts and bearings, ARB bushes and droplinks. No play in any of the ball joints. Recent wheel bearings. Tightened wishbone bolts.

Only thing left is the engine mount which I've just ordered off ebay. I'm not convinced its this though.

Any ideas?????!!!!

Check your anti roll bar for side to side movement.

I had the same issue after doing the clutch (a 25 hour process). Forgot I had loosened the sub-frame bolts (which I didn't need to do as it happened, which is why I forgot to tighten them). Offending bolt fell out somewhere, requiring a visit to Fiat to get a replacement, although pleasantly surprised at low cost.
