i had my car in the garage a while back for the suspension, axel and steering column replacing, then the other day i noticed the carpet that runs along the backside of the engine bay in places looks like is coming away from the metal
after further inspecction it looks like its all held on by half inch pins that are welded to the back of the engine bay, they come through the carpet with a clip that then goes on the pin to hold it in place, however there seems to be loads of these missing, and i'm sure if used to sit flush, could the garage have taken this off and then not put them all back on? or broke a few and didn't bother ordering new ones? or is this normal? in that not all the pins are used?
