i know its bottem of the range experimental engine and all that, but ive been getting pretty cocky riecently. was going down the east lancs when i had some ****** right up my ass (hmmm)i moved over and as he came next to me i changed down and leathered it, i blew him away (it was a rover 400, which r supposed to be fast). in sepparate incidents i also beat a focus, a peugeot 206 and some shitty vectra all off the line!

I like the 1.4, mine was a real gem and the reason I originally sold my 156 2.5 to buy a HGT. Good on you!

which rover we talking about the boxy 400 or the rounder one.

think you will find the bloke in the rover didn't put his foot down either way, or maybe he had the old 67BHP diesel version which i think a granny in a wheel chair could over take. In either model, non of the petrol versions have any less that 103BHP (1.4 has 103bhp), don't think you could beat one of those.

Aweful looking cars though - 400's.

suppose you could have a lucky engine which puts out more than 80break?

Aint it always the same the car starts performing and running fine then bash something goes badly wrong with it!!!! LOL
