Thanks for letting me join, I have a Fiat Ducato 2.2 Auto Swift Motorhome
Thank you I will give them a call on MondayAl-Ko have recommended various different lubricants over the years as the manufacturers have, and continue to, change(d) the names.
FWIW, I think Shell Retinax LX is probably still on the list, and the general listings on (replacement) compatibility names Shell Gadus V220 C2 (which is reasonably easily obtainable).
If you contact Al-Ko they will give you more generic advice (you may wish to do so for peace of mind), but the advice shown here should probably still apply:

I've had a couple of Al-Ko chassised motorhomes, and have never been able to find/use the specified names. The most recent usage I've made is of Carlube LM2 (again, easy to source)..
Hi Rick, chassis service completed few weeks ago thanks. Have a few niggles but sorted them out. I found the heating pipe under the cupboard in the bathroom had been kinked but corrected that after not getting a response from the supplying dealer, checked out rest of pipes and thankfully all ok. Taking it in next week for the right side hab exterior light as it has condensation in it, unit has not been fully sealed against the body, checked left hand hab lights and they are fully sealed around them. Other than that all good and we love the MH. Have you had the Auto box ECU software updated if not get this done sooner than later with a Fiat Professional dealer, also in case you not aware you can update the sat nav to the latest maps via https://stellantis.navshop.com there is a you tube video on how to download and install cheers PhilHi there, hope you are enjoying your Moho and got your servicing issues resolved.
How are you finding the rest of the vehicle?
We have the 2.2 auto and so far, so g..d touch wood.
Still trying to fathom why they would delete the dipstick, I know it’s tight but really!! I’ve heard the electronic setup can be problematic.
Did yours need the software update?
All the best,
Rick

Hi Rick, re warranty will be taking an the Fiat extended warranty as we intend to keep our motor home for a few years, had on eon our previous motorhome and it covered the repairs we needed. I have the Garmin sat nav as well we used in previous MH set up with vehicle measurements set up for this one, love having both Garmin and one in the new MH running at the same time and watch them disagree on the route LOL. Also like wise we have maps. I have been working ours to day, took the first bottom draw out to check remainder of heating pipes, like you say wiring is pretty much just chucked in so sorted that out then noticed where the draws catch assemblies are screwed into the bottom of the draw that one didn't just have a screw missing it had never had one in so another job completed on behalf of Swift, may I need to go an show them how build one soon. With regards the DIP stick, this has been used for a number of years by other manufactures, so far our has been ok but will keep an eye on it. Safe travels.Hi Phil,
Glad you got things sorted, I’m realising now these niggles are part of the territory and they say part of the fun.
I think the build quality can be so variable across most brands and somewhat luck of the draw.
Like you we’ve found kinked and poorly supported ducting, also tight and unsecured wiring even though the P clips were fitted! Loose trim panels, loose battery cables, loose fixings to name a few.
However like nearly everything these days whether it’s a product or a service it’s rare to find things done properly so rather cynically I now tend to check and double check everything and sadly expect low standards, anything above this is a bonus.
Did you take out the extended Fiat warranty?
Yes it was the software update for the auto box and that was done very early on.
Ours has a different sat nav although we find the Garmin Camper nav to be more reliable, although still prefer a map, just using the fitted screen now for rear view mirror and reversing.
How do you find the electric dipstick?
All the best happy adventures,
Rick.
