try this

Drive allong at normal speed with your foot almost flat down.

Dont raise the throttle but put your foot on the clutch and release quickly, letting the revs shoot up.

If it takes time for the revs to drop its slipping. Its a bit crude but you should be able to tell by feeling and sound.

and if the bitting point seems to change

If the biting point seems to change then the hydraulics are leaking - i had this and my pedal would sink. still could use the clutch but was very difficult to always find a good bite.

Try setting off in top gear with your hand brake hard on, using plenty of power (I don't mean max revs!!!). If it stalls, the clutch is fine.

Re: Re: Testing my clutch WITHOUT rev counter

i was told by a mate;
start off from still and get to about 25mph, stick it in 5th and boot it, foot to the floor.
if it struggles but still goes its fine.
if it just revs like mad (you'll know by sound) its slipping.
