hi ,i have changed my thermostat and now i have 4 temperature bars on display instead of 3 and the radiator fan starts a little to late, the temperature sensor is new, but could be broken?what do you think ,with my old thermostat i use to have 3 bars and when it reached 4 the fan starts and it goes back to 3 bars, any suggestions or thoughts, sorry about language

Did you change the temperature sensor at the same time as the thermostat?
I ask this as if the temperature sensor was registering normally before the new thermostat, then the thermostat is almost certainly at fault.
If they were changed at the same time it could be the sensor is just reading a little high.

The fact the electric fan cuts in late would suggest that the sensor is reading a little high, as I believe the fan is operated from a separate sensor/relay.

yes, the sensor come with thermostat , it is brand new ,the thermostat seems to be ok but i think the sensor or a relay might be the problem:bang: i have asked around and the fan has 2 stages , one at 95 degrees and 105 and is controlled by a relay,i have to check this(n)

Hi, I had the thermostat and sensor changed on my multi a couple of weeks ago. Mine also now shows four bars. I did a 730Km, mostly motorway, trip after the change and once it got to the four bars it did not budge until I stoped. Therefore the stat and fan are all working correctly. If yours is not boiling up it must be working correctly as well.
