Thank you for enabling me to join forum. Has anyone converted a Panda AWD to rear drive only? I am trying obtain a small rear drive car, capable of having suspension raised, that is suitable for Classic Trials and Prodn Car Trials in the UK where only 2 wheel drive is permitted. Rear drives are superior to Front drives for theses events.
Not all AWD transmissions are capable of practical conversion - does the Panda AWD have a central diff unit? Where could I find some drgs of Panda AWD? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Many thanks Varesecrazy for your prompt reply.

No age restriction except my objective is to have a reliable car that I am able to drive to events - 200+mile round trips - as opposed to trailering.

I am aware of the rust problems on the older cars. It would also be helpful to get a car with a rear suspension of either trailing arm or torsion bar.

I have been told that there are companies that will modify ecu's in accord with ones wishes -- again subject to the particular models.

It maybe that I am being too piccy!! -- and economically it may not work out.

Thanks again. Chrisjdm
