tapping noise from engine

could anyone please let me know if they have encountered a tapping noise from their bravo engine. apparently it's meant to be a common fault with them and the bravas. the main advice that i've been given by mechanics is to change the oil. also does the wrong type of oil has any bearing on this? what about oil feeder pipes? etc etc etc

change the oil, its the hydraulic tapets, use magnatec oil when you change it.

How old is the engine? years and miles?

Old engines tap, its due to wear, its normal.

Use selenia 20k oil.

My engine started tapping more than it already does after i hit a speed bump faster than i should have done, its lowered 45mm and it make a load cluck like i had hit the sump on the bump or something, and now it makes a ticking/tapping noise, what could this be? It increases along with engine speed?

the engine is around 9 years old and done about 60k
