Technical Tailgate issue

I have a 53 plate multipla with a tailgate that needs replacing,due to a pillar in a car park being in the wrong place. Do all tailgates fit this year Multipla. And if not how far back in years can I go? as I can't seem to fine the information anywhere.

Hi,

I had the same issue a few years ago due to a slack handbrake and a steep driveway.
The insurance told me that the original tailgate was now obsolete nd was replaced by the Squarenose tailgate (the one with the big round FIAT badge). They said that they had some issues with fit and I think this was due to the lower section profile - the part that holds the number plate etc - which is actually a separate piece. In the end, I think that the old roundnose profile section was bolted to the new shape tailgate to make it fit. It seems to look and work OK.
