my sister has a TA and the garage she has bought it from told us today that it has a problem with the inlet manifold. Is this a common problem? The dealer seem to have no clue what they are doing (not a fiat dealership) and have no idea how long it'll take to fix

thanks in advance!

bring it to a garage who do know what they're doing, an independent fiat specialist preferably. Faulty inlet manifold is BS

They could be referring to a problem with the uniair actuator (it is part of the intake system); there have been quite a few reports of these units failing. It's not a cheap repair, so proper diagnosis is essential before spending £££ replacing the actuator.

How long has she had the car? If bought within the past six months, I'd be asking the garage she bought it from to repair it at their own expense.
