General T-Jet re-map

I think that FIAT has a very smart and safe ecu... I'm going to upload the dyno plots in a couple of minutes

Punto T Jet -- Fiat Spec --

Punto T Jet -- Exhaust & Remmap --

Punto T Jet -- Exhaust & Remmap & Air Filter Out --

I tryied to upload them in a way that you can see them in here but i cant. If a moderator can, please edit my post and...make it better...!

Thanks

anything new. What about the remap? what about fitting a new turbo?
Also what about the blow off valve? Is it true that is connected with the ecu?

We are working on it. And we are making progress, but it would be meaningless to to into detail at this point in time.

Fitting the new Turbo changed things but we are not happy with the situation as yet.

have anybody tried to replace the stock intercooler (because i think it's pretty small)? Does it have any results?

Is it the 'learning' ability of the ecu which slowly defaults back to a standard map in some way? Or is it a 'failsafe' going to limp home mode? Don't give up!

Have just read this post...

To gain ekstra HP, i would prefer change the turbo out with the 150hp edition from bravo...

It a little bigger and fits directly on, and with a remap ond that you would have around 180hp....

The standard charger on the 120hp editon allready near its maxium...

I have not tried it jet... but what do you guys think about it???...

We have done all of this, but do not get more than 163bhp, because the ECU doe not allow us to do what we want.

Is this because it's a safe ECU? :p
I think this is happening because 1,3bar its a really high pressure and i believe that neither the abarth nor the esseesse will have more than 1,3 bar overboost they simply use a larger turbo with about the same pressure which means more air. Maybe it has to do with the engine head or something (it may can not affort more than 1,3 bar)

Have anybody tried to fit a larger intercooler? results?

Here in denmark we can get 145hp, and the ECU accept that.... but if we push it to 1,2bar... the ECU goes to safemode... but 155hp was there just before it went to safemode....

But looking forward to a good solution, I will say 180hp and i am happy

We got this too from the standard turbo. But this is only 6 to 7bhp more than standard.

Oldschool

Can you tell us what your are testing right now??

What about the turbo from the original SS kit.... that should bring the engine around 200hp or what??

What an amazing thread. So much information in here i feel like i have bee nat school. And what an interesting thing it is to see that the standard GPS is actually 140BHP as standard. Very intriguing i shall keep my eye on this topic.

Keep up the good work.

i found a website of a chip tuning company called ziptuning. they got 35hp on grande punto t-jet. i asked them about any upgrades as exhaust or induction kit on that 155hp gp. waiting for response
