New ones. I thought the 1.4 150 engine was a tuned version of the 1.4 120 in the GP tjet?
Probably but the TJet isn't strictly a FIRE unit, although I think its basically the same engine however its classed as a TJet engine not a FIRE engine.
Also referring back to my original post I did say the 1368cc was the biggest FIRE engine in terms of bore and stroke therefore the TJet doesn't really apply to my argument since it has the exact same bore and stroke as the N/A 8v.

Anywho, :whogives::Offtopic:

As far as I have ever been able to work out the two are identical in all but turbo size and engine map. Opens up a nice upgrade path for 120 owners.

As for the fire thing; my understanding is that the modern 1.4s (inc t-jet and multiair) are derived from the fire but are not true fire engines.

Now who's going to fit a 170bhp multiair head to their punto???

12 seconds? :O definately doesnt feel like that to me. Suppose im not counting when accelerating. Will have to try and count on my way home.

I have a 1.4 16v, was thinking about trading in for a t-jet. Would it be worth it?

id say not depending how much you can get one for. Are you looking for a quick car in general or just a quicker punto?

Incorrect,

The Abarth and Bravo 150 lumps are the same, different Cams (definate) + different Turbo I think hence the different powerbands. I would expect maps to be different based on the different amounts of air/fuel required also.

Ok so cams as well, all minor parts; fundamentally they are the same engine.

A minor change rather than a minor part.

I've hunted for comparable performance stats for the m-jet. I can only find the usual 0-60 and max speed which I'm sure everyone has seen anyway. Shame, I was up for some friendly m-jet bashing!

My T-Jet is a lot quicker than the above stats, still factory. Just added gsr induction and now a little quicker and has a nice 'shhh' between gear shifts :)

i don't think it is as standard mate, it feels quick but i think thats just down to the torque when its on boost.

i remember pulling off from a junction next to a private taxi (1.9cdti) i had my foot to the floor and barely pulled away from him

I struggled to pull away from a pasat bluemotion recently when exiting a dual carriageway roundabout. I bet that thing weighed 300kg more and gives close to 50mpg too.

I struggled to pull away from a Ford Ka that was falling to pieces...then it passed me. :D

I've given up pulling away from anything, just enjoy my reliability, comfort and rattles in the slow lane.
