I have a 1.4 16v, was thinking about trading in for a t-jet. Would it be worth it?
Probably but the TJet isn't strictly a FIRE unit, although I think its basically the same engine however its classed as a TJet engine not a FIRE engine.New ones. I thought the 1.4 150 engine was a tuned version of the 1.4 120 in the GP tjet?

id say not depending how much you can get one for. Are you looking for a quick car in general or just a quicker punto?
As far as I have ever been able to work out the two are identical in all but turbo size and engine map. Opens up a nice upgrade path for 120 owners.
As for the fire thing; my understanding is that the modern 1.4s (inc t-jet and multiair) are derived from the fire but are not true fire engines.
Now who's going to fit a 170bhp multiair head to their punto???
Incorrect,
The Abarth and Bravo 150 lumps are the same, different Cams (definate) + different Turbo I think hence the different powerbands. I would expect maps to be different based on the different amounts of air/fuel required also.
Minor part.... wouldn't work without it...Ok so cams as well, all minor parts; fundamentally they are the same engine.
My T-Jet is a lot quicker than the above stats, still factory. Just added gsr induction and now a little quicker and has a nice 'shhh' between gear shifts![]()
