A video would have been good for changing brake pads etc
It's not hard pal honestly. It's self explanatory by just taking the wheel off. There a total of 4 bolts and two pointy bolts on the hub itself. Can't really go wrong. The only hassle is pushing the back Pistons in because you need a special tool that rotates the front ones can be done with a spanner and leverage using the caliper itself.

I learned how to do it as I went a long. That and a bit of knowledge from watching Ed China on Wheeler Dealers haha

That guy is a legend! He's probably saved me around £500 in labour costs at a garage since I've attempted the jobs myself!

Do you need to buy new clips? Or the old ones good enough. Just ordered the brake disks and pads for all 4 sides without the clips.

I' brought Textar pads rear and front, but only the rears came with clips.

I've reused the old ones on the front.

Just a quick question in the rear Pistons. I know you have to wind them back. Is the driver side clockwise and passenger side anti-clockwise?

Thanks.

3) I found I was able to get the discs out by only removing one of the 2 bolts holding the caliper housing in place. I loosened the other one and was able to lift it away enough to get the disc out. Something to help save you a bit of time and effort.
Not a good idea at all.

These bolts have thread locking compound ("locktite") on them, and when you loose and re-tighten them you lose the locking effect.

It is better to remove both bolts completely, and refit with thread locking compound.

It only add a minute or so to the entire procedure, and these bolts do hold the brakes in place...

Hi, does anyone know the procedure for the handbrake when changing rear discs?
I changed front discs and pads on the wifes Grande punto sporting t-jet and all went well but it needs rear discs and pads too, i've never changed rear discs on any car before so am unsure about what to do with the handbrake.
I was so impressed with the wifes t-jet that i went out and bought a Bravo sport T-jet 150, love it BUT it needs discs and pads all round hence the question
Thanks in advance.

Ordered front and rear brakes but the front brakes are smaller than the brakes that are on now.
I placed the order with eurocarparts, checked the box and it does say bravo 2007>

Have they sent me the wrong set or am I missing something here?

Have you ordered the right ones mate? There is a fair few different sizes. Even the T-jet sizes are different. The discs are thicker on the 150 for example. And the pad sizes will all be different for the calliper sizes.

What model do you have?

I have a t-jet 150. I was checking the website and they do have different sizes which I did not know about.

I'll be going down

If it's a tjet 150 you should have part nos 104580148 for the discs and 101580308 for the pads, tjet 120 I think has a different set up

Gents, I must honestly thank you for this thread.

I am doing this exercise tomorrow morning and didnt know about the varied disc and pad selection out there.

Made my life much easier. (y)
