Hello all,

Having problems with my clutch, my car has done 75k miles, what needs replacing around 70k miles?

More importantly lol when I push down my clutch, it gets to three quarters of the way (feeling normal) then goes incredibly slack and makes a clunking noise when it hits the bottom, engages/disengages gears fine, it also makes a squeaky high pitched noise that varies in volume from time to time, but all of this only happens sometimes, which makes me believe there could be air in the clutch hydraulics, reason being, the clutch slave cylinder was replaced a few months ago, what are the symptoms of air being in the hydraulics?

All this has only started happening in the last 2 days too, it has been fine for the past 2 or 3 months, which makes me question whether it is air.

it may be leaking again if it was not fitted correctly, or the master cylinder may be leaking instead, or maybe it is just a bit of air that has taken its time to show up (fingers crossed). first thing i would do is look for a leak at the slave cylinder, check the brake fluid level, and if no leak can be detected try bleeding the slave cylinder thoroughly using an eezibleed kit.
