Rather than top mount issue?

Would i be able to see a broken spring?I couldnt see anything obvious when it was on jacktands

Our spring broke right at the top, it was the broken off part rattling on the lower strut cup however the noise remained the same, and still present with a new one, the top bearings are Lemforder and only 3 years old, yes the noise does seem at the top under screen

Broken spring possibly.

Not very likely, the weight of the car is still on the spring.

I'd be checking wheel nuts!
Then just feel on every joint until you get it.
