General Surprising trade in value.

Just enquired about a trade in for an 09 Bravo, Maranello red, FSH, timing belt done in January, tax til Feb, plenty life left in the 4 tyres and 30k on the clock.
1. What would you expect? &

Fact is all second hand cars seem to lose value at a spectacular rate and a dealer has got to make a reasonable chunk on top even on a trade in, most dealers these days no longer seem to add on to the asking price to allow for a flattering trade in either.

Given that the timing belt's been done and the tyres are good, plus it's low mileage, it's not really the car i'd P/X. It sounds like a good enough car to sell privately, cut out the middle man and make at least £6000 on.

I'd only P/X a car if it had a list of faults as long as your arm and I couldn't face palming it off onto an unsuspecting seller.

Mine was valued at 3.5k. Mine is at about 76k. Had belt and pump done. Also has a new clutch/DMF. 08 plate 150 mjet sport.

Could have got around £4k if I sold privately but not worth the hassle IMO.
