Technical Supersprint Centre Pipe It needed ????

I am looking to supersprint my HGT and was wandering is there any point in getting the centre pipe as its 135quid and as far as i can see its just a pipe. I know the Manifold will give gains as it gets rid of the pre cats, and the back box will give gains (better for 300quid), but does the centre pipe make a difference ???
So am thinking of just going for back box and manifold.

I know the 8v middle pipe doesnt have a second silencer with can be fitted onto a sporting but not sure about a hgt. Someone else might post soon but imo i cant see it making a huge difference.
