Super Lada !

Super Lada !

WR, the 575 I got to look around was built so badly, I was told the vents were the same as the Punto ones (I can't guarentee this - my friend Ed who drove a Punto said they were but i wouldn't know), the handbrake was smacking against the seat which was falling to pieces on the outside (LHD and handbrake was on your left at the door..!) The carpet over the engine was awfully cheap, like £1 a sq metre, the leather and door card leather was just so dull and cheap! The ashtray was broken aswell. Sure, bet it goes well and the driving position was fine, but for the money.....

Every time I see a ferrari in Manc (driving; I would be cheating overwise, there's a dealership down the road) (which is everyday for the most of it!) I just think "lack of style....". It's sad, this feeling has been around for only 12 months, it's just they seem to be like expensive toys with no style. My friend Andrea (maybe a girl but she knows her cars!) agrees completely, along with quite few friends who feel the same but none of us can really put our finger on just what it is that's wrong with them right now.

I guess it's the sameas JC when he had to decided between the Ferrari and Aston, the Ferrari won on most levels, however, he said Aston did it for him, I feel the same and not because of what they said.

I think maybe it's the overuse of the Ferrari brand, for example I think watching Bad Boys II just made it look like a stupid toy.

The 575 sounds like a good quality car then?! lol.

The last Ferrari that made me go 'Wow!' was the F50, and before that, the F40. The F50 was said to be a waste of time but it looked great, the new ones just dont do that. Id take an Aston anyday :D

It has a thingymagic which gave torque at low revs, that sounded good, it just lacked quality IMO and the others I spoke to.

my dream cars always will be and always have been ferrari f40/50 and the lambourghini Diablo, have seen both as a result of attending the italian car days, next time im planning on being cheeky and asking if i can sit in the car (if the opportunity arises) as heck you only live once, and well yeah its my dream car (probably the diablo over the ferrari(s) mind) *drool*

Since the Testarossa, the only Ferrari I have liked the look of is the 360, in it's various guises. Didn't like the Diablo when it came out, still preferred the Countach. My fav Lambo is probably the Cala (not a production model), but I rather like the Gallardo. The Pagani is very nice in it's detailing, but looks all out of proportion.

Other cars that I think look the nuts would include the Jag XJ220, McLaren F1, Bugati EB110, Mosler MT900.

There seems to be a lot of supercars from unheard of manufacturers that look quite nice, but they all seem to go for a generic supercar look.

Oh and I thought the Fiat 131 was an ugly box as well, as were the Mira Fiori and Super Mira Fiori. Actually was the Mira Fiori the 131 and Super Mira Fiori the 132, it's all too 80's for me.

I would have a Zonda, and that's Italian. But the Koenisegg, Yes I would have one deffo, f*ck the lack of racing pedigree etc, it looks NICE and goes like sh*t off a shovel!

I wouldn't have a ferrari If I had the money. Sorry!
I'm content with my "poor man's ferrari" though lol

And besides, it was the 124 that became the Lada! I think the confusion arises because of the Lada's rectangular lights (fitted in the 80's).

Let's face it, at least the shape of the Lotus-tweaked car had character. It even looked quite trim (I think they did away with the bumpers etc.) I'd rather have that than, say, one of those slabby Mitsi Starions (a friend used to call his "The Great White Whale").

Some of the most imposing cars in the world (stretch limos, Rolls Royces, etc.) are basically box-shaped. Nuthin wrong with that...

... looking at your piccies in your sig I think You like the boxy shape Alex :p
I was looking at an uno yesterday, always wrote them off as boxy tat, but The lines are actually quite understated cool, so fair do's (y)
