Hi , I have a 2007 fiat panda dynamic, only got her two weeks ago and she's a great car no problem with her at all exyfor rust on the sunroof. Any advice ? Should I seal it up permanently or get it treated? Any advice welcome. Thanks

Hi and welcome :)

If you can reach it, you should treat it, otherwise it'll get worse.

Ideally dremel or wire brush on a drill back to bright metal, rust treatment and paint.

Was done on here on a 500 recently.

But as above, take a pic if you can. I think you need to post 5 times before adding images?

Here's an example by our resident celebrity mechanic baglady.
Suggestions that blocked sunroof drainage channels can lead to standing water in that area, so make sure to flush them out and keep them clear:

Also, if you've found rust there, I would have a close look at:
Rear axle spring pans
Rear sills
Engine oil sump pan
Coolant pipe across front of engine
Mud trap behind front springs

The bodies are galvanised, so rust shouldn't be too much of a problem, but worth keeping on top of these areas.

I smear grease or old engine oil on from time to time, does the trick.

And keep the 'duckbill' scuttle drains below the windscreen clear, they block easily.

Plenty of friendly knowledgeable folk on here, let us know if you need any help:)

Just making the point you dont HAVE to spend money to do the (or every job) and there MIGHT be an economy option?.
+ your option (and nearly all the others these days )are so cheep because they almost certainly originate in China and I personally dont wish to support there economy in any way as there human rights record is a little "coloured" id say! along with trying to hack all the wests computer info!.
Amazons track record for morals and ethics aint so great either!.
then again i MIGHT just be full off :poop:.

I know it is virtually impossible to totally avoid Chinese products, I just take the trouble to dig deeper and avoid if possible, but this is not the best place to bat our political opinions back and forth!
To be honest my original answer was just a light hearted response to suggest that sometimes with a little lateral thinking you can do a job with something you already have to hand!
