Hi folks. I had aproblem a little while ago with my Marea 155 roof ariel which was eaten by a carwash. Had very helpful responses from 'Clobak' and 'Bravo Pro' which gave me the confidence to 'have a go'. Job now done but seem to have a new problem now. After doing the ariel replacement I now find that the electric sunroof will not operate. I've had the motor out a few times to see if I can see any problem but nothing is obvious. Have checked the fuse - its OK. Courtesy lights work fine. I can also move the roof using the key inside the light. Can't honestly say that it was working before I replaced the ariel as due to the weather I'm not sure when I last used it. It did however work when I did use it. Anyone any ideas for a novice to check out please?

Cheers BarryK.

When the sunroof motor was hanging down while you worked on the arial, did you support the sunroof motor,if not the weight of the motor could have pulled a wire off at the sunroof switch end.If the sunroof worked ok before and the fuse is ok then the above would be my next port of call.

Thanks again Clobak. Now seems to be all sorted. I drove up to Edinburgh last week and my satnav gave me a message that it needed plugging in as the battery was low. It was actually plugged in but there wasn't any power to the cigar lighter!! I had a ferret around whilst in Scotland and, even though I had checked the handbook for which fuses to check and they seemed OK I discovered a completely different fuse that had blown thus disabling the lighter as well as the sunroof. Once this fuse was replaced all worked fine. Thanks for your help yet again. Cheers BK.
