sunfoor issue

My sunroof has developed a problem, when i switch between tilt and fully open it does not pause in its central position, this means i am never 100% sure its in its standard closed position.

Has anybody got any ideas why before i end up taking the whole thing out looking for broken parts

If you take the sunroof motor out you will see a large gear wheel with two sets of teeth. Between the two sets is a short notch which allows a micro switch to stop the roof in its closed position. It sounds like the switch is sticking and not stopping the roof. Alternatively the gear wheel may have slipped round a few teeth so the notch is not in the right place.

It'll be the relay in the roof, but check the microswitch as mentioned above to see its not sticking.
