General Sumpguard / Skidplate for the Panda 312

I had to remove the sump guard to change my motor oil here the other day. When it was off I found it extremely rusty, I’ve later read it has to be made out of recycled Lancia Beta’s - I guess that must say a bit about the beautiful Beta.



Anyway

I did not put it back on because I was thinking I’ll rather buy a new and better, finding a OEM or a similar.

After a while I have some sort of plan ready. Here it goes!

Just before the weekend I cut out every rusty plate, grinded it down and sandblasted it before spraying it with zinc and then Raptor Bedliner

Any progress? I am a good fabricator, but this a complex form need so form tool and my press has limited throat. Working on how to get the stiffness with a simpler form. Will carry on with the CAD, cardboard aided design
