Technical Sump plug torque setting

20-30 Nm is a usual value, certainly not more. Use a new copper or aluminium washer, tighten by hand first, then turn another 45 degrees.

First post on the forum :)
Did not want to start a separate thread for this, since it also concerns Ducato 2.8 JTD transmission drain plug. Could someone please advise, what is the standard of the original? Is it M16x1,5 or may be M18x1,5? Ducato is a 2005 model. Thanks in advance!

Edit: found a youtube video of this plug, but no thread standard. It is definitely smaller than M22x1,5 oilpan plug. .

Check this out?

Thank you for replying, blaven. Yes, I previously found that post with search, but the only info about the drain plug there is "the 8mm. square drain plug key on a smallish 3/8" drive ratchet.". Info about the plug's thread (my actual question) does not seem to be there...

Trying to get a new magnetic plug, in advance, to replace the worn one. Based on the youtube video above it could well be M16x1,5 , could anyone please confirm?
