Technical Suffering Stilo (Fix It Again Tomorrow)

[A Likely Story]

I don't know for sure if this is the right place to post, but anyways...

I have read through a lot the posts on this forum and some sound similar to the problem I have.

Anyway I was driving back from dropping the other half off at her works when I got half way home, It felt a like the car just dropped a whole lot of power then the engine light blinked on. Now it feels like its misfiring and is about to stall at any moment, I was forced to drive it home to get my little girl home who was in her Pj's. On the way home it bleeped an awful lot and I noticed it only juddered when I went past 2000rpm. I read the Cylinder Coil threads which sound quite familiar, but my first impression was the Catalytic Converter purely because I smelt a Rotten eggy stench. I havn't got any error codes as this only happened this morning. Any response would be great I just like to have an idea of possible problems rather than on the spot surprises.

Its a 1.6 Stilo aircon 53 plate. Thanks in advance. :worship:

If it is a misfire then it wont be long before your cat is ruined...best advice would be to take to a garage.

the smell you had was probably unburnt petrol going into cat maybe?

sounds like coil packs though, get the codes read.

which gets hot & ignites...seen a few renault cats glow bright red before collapsing:devil:
