Subwoofer

Hi,
Just installed my new ICE and was checking over the speakers with the music turned up and discovered that my subwoofer, that comes as standard in my Punto MK 2 was crackling like a bitch. Believe its due to it being poo'd. Anyone got any suggestions on any quality sub to replace it?

you could just buy a new one of what you already have? i think theres one on ebay now, they sell for cheap.

A few things...

1) How much space do you need in the boot?

2) What type of music do you listen to?

3) How much you looking to spend?

I would personally reccommend something like the FLI Trap Active 12", as it only takes up just over 1/3 of the boot and gives cracking sound for the money (around £100-£120). To give you an idea it keeps up with the "Need for Speed: Underground 2" soundtrack, which features all types of music - Rock, Metal, House, RnB, Drum N Bass.

Listen to Hip Hop, Garage, Big bass basically. I've found that the standard setup within the car can handle what im throughing at it, although in time, that will change. Money isn't really an issue, so any others i might want to look at?

I'm not experienced in different ICE setups, basically because I don't have the funds at the moment, but I've only heard good things about JBL GTO series, and the Fuel enclosures look pretty meaty...

iirc for big bass, ported enclosures work better, someone else will most likely correct me though.
