Helloooo,
After a look on the forum i saw someone selling the standard sub and was intreged. I then threw a hand under my seat to the suprise i had one!! I turned on the radio for a catchy tune then held a hand on the sub and didnt feel i thing. The sub is plugged in so i checked the fuse there. The fuse was intact. Then when i came home and had a little search i found it should be fuse 54 under the dash. Looking there i could not find a 15A fuse or the actual fuse.... Its 4th from the bottom and no fuses in these 4 or conections for a fuse to be inserted as if they were filled in. So my guess is someone paid for an option but didnt even get what they paid for ? Has anyone else got some information they could share with me ? And any solutions ? . I have a years warranty on the car (arnoldclarke) should i bother going to them with this and see if they get it functioning?

Well there's no harm in asking is there? Have you tried putting a fuse in the correct fuseholder to see what happens?

I looked and there doesnt seem to be any connector as if the fuse box cant actully house the fuse. As if the loom was for a car with fewer options and this wasent added

I have attached 2 pics to try and show what i mean the slot closet to the fuses cannot hold a fuse :(

Is it connected to the head unit ?
If so, then you just need an ignition fed supply to the existing fuse in the woofer with an in-line 15A fuse in..
You could try a quick jury rig,
Interestingly enough you mention a fuse in the sub, there is no fuse on the diagrams I have, only F54 15A.
If its wired to the head it should work with power applied

Quite a lot of the time cars are built with bits added that are out of site and not connected, or bits of extra loom for options that shouldnt be their.. often they change their minds in the middle of production....

Well the plug just dissapears into the carpet and i have no idea how to check if its in the head unit

Just hook up 12v from the battery to the fuse in the sub and put Howlin; for You (Black Keys) on the main head (y)(y),

worst case is a small fire :D ..

Best case a sub and buy 'Brothers' and El Camino'
