I'm trying to fit a subwoofer to my lovely 100HP. I need to feed it with an audio input from the standard Blaupunkt radio/CD (Fiat 169 C1V2 MP3).

I've managed to fit an iPod input as per your helpful instructions. Now I need a plain audio output to go to the sub; plus a switched 12V output would be the cherry on the cake. The top row of connectors (with the yellow, green and blue connectors) is probably where it all happens. But most of the pins are connected up to a loom of wires which lead off elsewhere. But where do they go to - anybody know? Particularly helpful is if there is somewhere slightly accessible where I can tap in, as it looks as if those connections are available.

Forgive my slightly garbled grammar as I have been messin' with this all afternoon and getting somewhat annoyed!

You need a low level converter to get the right audio signal, so you can have an RCA lead out. The top row of connectors on the stereo are all for the data systems (steering wheel controls, ECU signals and such) so you'll need to patch from the speaker outputs. 12v feed needs to come from a ignition switched live. Can be taken from pretty much anywhere there's an ignition live. Just be careful cutting into wiring if you don't know what it's for, you could fry something very expensive!

Oh well, thanks Asa - so there isn't a line out at all? Makes sense I suppose. Anyone know how Fiat worked it with the Pandamonium pack subwoofer - are there any useful connections under the seat? Does that set-up use the standard Blaupunkt head unit?
