i have two 1000w 12" subs in my punto mk1, i've lined my boot with mdf and carpeted it, im going to clamp down the subs to the mdf. which way shud to subs face to get the best out of them :)

ive got this dilema too! lol

ive asked diff ppl but they redcon theres not much in it. you have to remember to make the box the right size for the sub whichever way you do it.

think im gonna try mine one way then the other..

Its all about preference and space avaliable. You obviously don't want to put the speaker 5cm away from the back of your seats as this can cause the back seats to rattle as I well know. I think you should try the sub pointing in one direction and then the other and see which one you prefer. A

As you mention there is not much in it but the acoustics are different for each car and it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

Actually there is a difference (tried it out myself).

If the sub is facing towards the rear windshield it will be louder but less punchy.

If the sub is facing the seats or is very close to the door is will not be as loud but you will feel a stronger rumble.
