Technical Subaru eater?

a scooby above 40 mph would probably need around 260 bhp to match mid poke of a stock coupe. I think a bugeye wrx is miles off the 0-100 time??

My coupe is nearly 300bhp and a friend with a scooby wrx was shocked at the grunt of the coupe.

However on a wet road the coupe has to be driven with much more care than the forgiving subaru which just goes round bends gripping easily. However in the dry my coupe will be right with it..
as all my wishbones drop links etc are new plus am running a suspension kit. Still though with the coupe you need to be accelerating out the corner as if i go in nose heavy the back will come round.
meaning if its an unknown road then i will be working much harder to stay with a stock subaru
No argument there mate :)
I have new wishbones, droplinks, new toyos,EBC and coilovers and I still can't drive it to it's full potential.
Saw someone the other day doing that (Johnny ;)) and it sure can fly when it's dry and the person knows how to make full use of the power......which I don't, I must admit:(

I'm not going to mention any Scooby stories;) but as pointed out when I first put my coop through its paces:D its party trick was indeed to keep pulling hard from mid range onwards & its the Coops ability to deliver most of its power in one go:D & keep on going. If you have a decent suspension set up & you will need one as most Coops are well tired in this department, if it doesn't belong to people in the know:D You will have a good handling machine.:p No matter what the Scooby doo brigade say.:D

i raced a r32 last nite and he could t keep up lol maybe he is a crap driver as it was a57plate r32

I cant wait to get mine on qtr mile just to see what it does before i start tracking it, i am wanting to have it track ready for next years Modified Nationals

The last bravo i stripped was my green one and i got that too 1050kg and that was rapid with only 200bhp roughly, im hoping to crack the magic 1000kg mark this time though by removing dash etc and replacing with a string of instrements and also using p:ROFLMAO:ex windows and a fibre glass bonnet and boot.

I know it all sounds a bit dreamy but tbh i dont see my self in any other car as i like having the only turbo'd bravo in doncaster it will take a lot of people by surprise lol

the green hgt was fun but this is going to be on a whole other level.

Just remember that a coupe 20v turbo weighs 40kg more than the N/A 20v
so a this will apply to your Bravo too.

the only issue with the coupe is having most the weight in the nose. same applies to the Bravo so you really need to be losing weight off the front end.
sounds a fun project though, bud (y)

I think i may be able to loose a bit of weight off the front but if not the extra sticky tyres my mate is sorting for me out will also help lol.

Corner yes, 4wd has advantage but on a straght its all over for the scoobys.

Deffo from a rolling start, they have no chance

As a rough guide, From a standing start a similar power to weight 4wd will be off the line and upto 60 1 full second faster than a fwd.

The reason a fwd will pull away mid range is due to the 4wd power loss through transmission and in the coupe's case it has an excellent power curve.
