well the amp says 284Wrms, i have the pioneer and it really does need some power, theres 3 different quoted figures for it i have seen. 3000w max (basically can ignore this), 1000w 'nominal' and also seen 300w rms. I would say its more the 1000w figure.

and thats 300wrms, it really did have some punch, at loud vol it never had distortion. pretty closely matched to that amp too. so i'd rec that. but i havent heard many other subs so others may have diff views...
 
No not really, the amp will only run at 4ohms, and the sub will run at 2 or 8ohms, a 4 channel amp is just about the worst thing there is to power a sub, if i were you i would get a 2ch amp or a mono block amp, and use the JBL to power a set of front and rear speakers, the sub will sound really poor if powered of that amp
