might sound like a silly question, but how do i go about fitting my sub to my prebuilt sub box.

First you need to put on the foam backing (which should be supplied with teh sub) to the rear of the sub.

Then you attach the speaker wires to the box terminals.

Finally, place sub in the hole and screw in the supplied screws :) Small pilot holes may help, but if its MDF, its pretty easy to screw in anyway

right, foam backing, dont remember getting anywith mine, total ice noob so please be patient

Well it may not neccessarily be foam, but there will be some form of squishy material as this helps seal the sub cone in the box :) If you didnt get one, make a template of the size ring you need, and cut one out of some foam/rubbe or use some trim tape or padded tape (which is usually supplied anyway).
