hi all, i have a seicento sx 899cc badboy ;) im lowering the car 60mm and was wondering if by fitting a strut bar it would make any noticable difference. Alot of friends say its all bull, but why fit them to performance cars then?? hahah just want it to handle a little better. and also how easy are they to fit? is it straight forward? i hope so ;) haha

strut braces stiffen up the suspension and help prevent roll in corners. bolt on job using suspension mouting bolts. easy peasy 5 minutes. lower strut brace different story

like the wood bar ;) pahaha any sites you guys would reccomend to get a upper strut bar from? :D

makes a big difference with just the top but the bottom makes an even bigger improvement

the lower one is a peace of p**s to fit lol, i found it easier than the upper brace BUT if you are going down 60mm i would NOT recommend one,

i am down 40mm alround on 14's with 185/55 rubber on the front and below is my ground clearence with the brace,

ok this is a 500ml energy drink bottle under my car and as you can see the cap barely fits under the brace

i wouldn't say they make much noticeable difference on a cinq. They do however 'look fast'. Be aware of insurance issues, and that if you have a light impact on one side of the car the force will be transmitted to t'other strut top doing considerably more damage.

if you are lowering it 60mm (effectively a 40mm drop for a sporting) then you'll see much greater benefit from fitting the Anti Roll Bar from a sporting. You need the ARB itself, plus the mounts. They will bolt into your existing wishbones.
