Technical stripping cylinder head

Hi,
i am convinced the head gasket is leaking in my punto.
It has developed a bad misfire.
Since the engine didnt overheat,is there a strong possibility i dont need to skim it?
Also if i do have to get the head skimmed what has to be removed from the head to allow machine shop skim the head?

Are you sure it’s not an electrical issue like a dodgy plug lead or a duff coil? Seems strange it doesn’t overheat.
