Have a nice shiny red Twin Air and I feel I need some decals of some sort on it. Not sure whether the Italian stripe down the sides would look right.

Italian stripe would look good. I've seen them done over the roof on red cars (only really need a white and green stripe!!) and that looks pretty awesome!

I've always thought this design would look good in white on a red car. I've also got the number 5 on my bonnet which again would look great in white on red!

Seen exactly that done in those colours! Can confirm, looks good!
Don't forget to see how it'll potentially affect your insurance before doing

I've nothing against stripes as long as they're minimal and tastefully done but I haven't gone for stripes on mine - too common. I saw a red 500 just today with white chequer stripes including a chequer decal over the rear 'bumper'. A bit overdone I thought and disrupted the flow of the styling. Italian stripes (i.e. red, white, green), make it look like a pizza box.
I've come to the conclusion IMHO that stripes are a must on a white car, but on a red one, a no no.
How about if it has red stripes? ?

That looks great Seagull, I've currently got black (slightly peeling!) ones on my compo grey A500 but am going to change them for the matt grey ones you can get on new A500's, I like the subtle stealth look like you've done!
Thanks, I didn't want something with too strong a graphic, but I didn't want not to have a stripe!

I'd like to see that when done... I have a campo grey that needs a little
Something, possibly done in the new Audi dark flat grey colour...?

I want a factory look so want them the same as the ones you can order them with from Abarth, maybe the door mirrors done in it to.
You can get the door mirrors in the satin finish, we had to specify that I wanted the mirrors in body colour rather than the same as the stripe....
I've got the satin finish boot trim, bumper trim, mirrors and door handles. Much nicer than chrome I think
