Strange ticking coming from engine

Hi guys, bought a brand new fiat punto in June and it sounds like a ticking noise coming from the engine when it's just in idle, defenatley a noise that shouldn't be coming from a brand new car! If anyone has any ideas it be appreciated

Not being able to hear the ticking noise then it could be anything.

Being a brand new (June 2012) car you still have fully manufacturer's warranty and support on the vehicle so I would take the car to your dealer and get them to look into it.
