hi lads well my marea 110 jtd w/ender with its new clutch has given me a funny noise which is there at all speeds even out of gear and its from the back end could it be the axle cos its a droning noise its always there type of noise if it is the rear axle are they available from distmantlers are they easy to take off/refitt etc.

any ideas lads..:bang::bang::bang::bang:

re wheelbearings front/rear are they expensive lads and are they easy for a garage to replace?i recon that noise either the front or the back bearing the garage is checking it out tomoz 4me..

The Marea chassis (used for all mid range Fiats) has no back axle. It has trailing arms. So wheel bearings may be the problem. Not expensive from a motor factor and should be quick to fit. Have you tried rocking the wheel to and fro to see if the bearing is tired?

i'm getting them checked on tuesday i've had a quote of 35 for the front and the same for the back is that salty or what??,,

i would have thought that 35 for each corner is ok local motor factors here charge 13 for a wheel bearing so the garage will get it a bit cheaper and then your paying for the labor so i think that it seems a fair price also bear in mind that the bearing may be corroded in place and need some persuasion to move and also if the trailing arm hole where the bearing sits is a blind hole or open makes a difference if it is open then a talking to with a Birmingham persuader will do the trick if not it could be more difficult to shift
