STRANGE NOISE IN MY MAREA!!

EVERY TIME I GET INTO MY MAREA ON A REALLY REALLY COLD DAY A FUNNY NOISE ACCURES FROM THE HEATING SYSTEM,ITS LIKE A HUMMING NOISE,IT LASTS FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES UNTILL THE ENGING WARMS UP ABIT,IS IT NORMALL OR WHAT?????,ALSO WHEN I PULL OFF IN FIRST AND SECOND GEAR THERE IS A REALLY STRANGE TICKING NOISE FROM THE GEAR BOX,IT STOPS AFTER SECOND GEAR!.......GREAT HELP IF YOU KNOW WHAT MY PROBLEMS ARE.......CHEERS,DAVE GRAHAM.

Heating Noise

David, I have a marea weekend "P Reg" and I have the same problem you are hearing with the heating system. I have spoken to Fiat dealers and have not yet received a convincing reply. They all reply this is normal but they would like to investigate further which to me they don't have a bloody clue. If anyone else out there has a similar problem and have solve the mystery then please reply.

i have Same probnlem with my Bravo hlx

when its cold it makes a loud humming noise if i have the interior fan on, it goes after a while.

i feel it could be the motor fan bearings, so when cold they are even worse

sound seems to come from left side, maybe the contatcs to the left front speaker have come loose and the vibrations are transalated into noise (however i still get noise when radio is on or off)

something is stuff in there like a leaf and when it is cold it resonates at the right frequency to make that noise.

the plastic front colomn does vibrate slightly when the fan is on (like in any car)
