Strange lag?

Hey all i recently became an owner of a beautiful bravo 1.6 hlx on a y plate for only 490 quid! anyway more to the point after having it for a week ive noticed when doing around 20 on the rev clock when i put my foot down theres a feeling of lag before it pulls away but if i put my foot down gradually then its fine just wondering if thats normal in these never owned one, i do love it tho a nice cruiser!

Its not as fast as i thought it was going to be neither not bad but i got creamed by a tigra! lol

big car its bound to happen. unless its just the fact ur pottentiometer is sticking slightly that it cant react to sudden movements.
