stoping amp from rattleing

hi all, i have an amp mounted on to the back of my backseats in the boot and over the past few days it has been rattleing when i go over speedhumps and hit potholes etc, i have make sure the screw are still tight any ideas on how to stop it from rattleing

Yeah anything that stops the Amp knocking on the metal.

Thick rubber mat would be a good thing to use, helps reduce vibration on the amp too. But only on the amp mounting points. If you put mat or carpet under the entire amp you might end up depressing the backing plate onto the power caps.

You said the amp is secure but still rattles. This could be the back plate you can hear. If it is try a few blobs from a glue gun or even take it off and put a strip of tape along either edge that slides/screws down onto the heat sink.

Loads of different things you could try.

thanks guys think im goin to try for carpet nxt week, wot i can get my head around is the fact that its only just started doing it

Could be the back plate i spose. Dont forget that the metal on the sets is only thin so it wont take long for a screw to be tightened into it a couple of times to loosen up.

got hold of some thin carpet stuff of a m8 2day going to sort the amp out over the weekend may also dress up around the door speakers with it
