hi
i know this is an old post but was just wondering if anyone has actually got there skywindow working again?
mine was working absolutely fine until one day it wouldnt shut,
i tried the reset but got noting but the clicking noise.
i managed to close it with the emergency key but now it wont budge at all(manually or electronically).
iv taken the trim off surrounding the sky window and covered everyting i could see with teflon spray but it still wont budge!
has anyone got any idea what i could try next?
Check the power supply.. and if that checks out it could be the relay.

Thanks ralf s I think there is power to it as the motor tries to move the roof but just makes the horrible clicking noise.
It won't open manually either

Don't wind the roof back if it is too stuck, or you'll jump a tooth and damage the bowden cable.
You won't find replacement cable anywhere. I fixed mine and lubracated the internal cable and external runners. I had it completely apart as the cable got mangled.
I have a spare roof I bought a few years ago, it is seized but you could break down for glass or cables if you wanted, or fit seized shut if yours is stuck open like mine was!
Also have a rear motor in working order.

Don't really know a lot about cars etc so wouldn't attempt to strip the roof down completely.
Iv removed the trim surrounding the roof and sprayed everything I could see with Teflon spray to no affect...
It just seems to be seized solid.really can't understand it it worked perfectly until one day when it wouldn't close.closed it manually now it won't budge at all manually or electronically!

Just had another quick look at my sky window.
The right(drivers)side first pane starts to lift ok(manually or on the button).
The left hand side of the same pane dosnt want to move for some reason?do you think there maybe somthing stuck on there?if so do you have any idea how to get it out?or what maybe going wrong?
Love my sky roof and gutted it's stopped working....any help/suggestions would be much appreciated thanks
