It hit a round-about and went straight over on a dual carridgeway at about 60mph, i payed £300 for the car and its a 1.4 'blue' like limited edition is what it says, and its not that bad all wheels needed replacing suspension complete assembly on the off side front needed replacing e.g wishbone and mcpherson strut assembly. the subframe was a little bent but it was bent back in to place and re-welded. needed a radiator as well, other than that its cosmetic only :) so far i've spent under 1k overall :)

Getting better every day.....labour of love this resto :)

People that get angry with the little niggly faults with these stilo's but having nearly finished my restoration of this little gem, all that happened is i've fallen more in love with its character :D

Sounds strange but through all of its faults i've resolved me and the car have got better, (im better at fixing them and the car is better off for having them fixed) so this post was mainly to say dont give up hope on these little cars no matter the annoyance it always pays off.....This picture is with all of its front end work finished and its finally sitting pretty once again :D:D:D Thanks to everyone on here as well just to show i apreciate you helping :)

Hope to inspire maybe a few more people to undertake repairs on these cars.

Jon

Got to hand it too you, Well done. That is indeed a superb job you have done and it is a stunning colour too.

Im sort of repairing mine as a ongoing project, Mine is more so from years of neglect on my behalf and the fact like you i love my stilo Mw as well.

Just done rear bushes and wheel bearings (well Shadeyman did), Next is front springs/shocks and top mounts with near side wishbone and anti roll bar bushes and another set of drop links if i cant remove the ones i have.

Then it will be a new set of 3 door headlights, drivers side wing to match and then rear springs/shocks and a rear calliper.

This has been sort of my weekend project but i've kept the costs low enough that i could still sell for a profit on book price :p

That said though i will not be selling it, i'll just keep making it better in small steps.

This being my first restoration i couldnt of picked a better car to work on its been a delight and joy. Plus i get to look at that colour all day :D

Im sure you'll have fun sprucing up your MW. I replaced the suspension and brakes suspension is really easy, and brakes can go either way but if you take your time making sure everything is done right it should be a breeeze :)

Says you're not far from me "somerset" im in Weston-super-Mare..
