Stilo advice needed please

I have just purchased my first Stilo today, a 2002 Dynamic 1.6 3 door.

I am seeking advice on two issues.

First of all I have two key fobs, one with three buttons on it and the other without. They both unlock the car but only the one without buttons will start it. I was advised that the non working one needed to be reprogrammed. The thing is, I cannot get the alarm to work at all and I was wondering if this was due to the main key fob not working properly? Will the alarm work if I get that key fob reprogrammed?


My second question is regarding the cassette player. Can I replace that with a GPS /CD unit from an Abarth or a regular CD player from any Stilo ( breakers yard / second hand). Will both options work or will either need further wiring etc?

I am aware that I can get a face plate and put a regular CD player in there but I dont really want to do that as I think the other options would look nicer, in particular the GPS, as my own GPS does not sit well with the cable stretched from the windscreen to the lighter socket which is set so far back.

I would appreciate any guidance, this is a great forum I have learned much just from reading the posts.

As regards your cassette player the gps/cd player (connect Nav+) or the cd player will go in there is a guide in the Stilo section for fitting the Connect Nav+. I think you may need a code with the cd player for it to work which will be easier to get if you donate to the forum.
