You can put either a music CD or a map CD in the front slot of the CN+. If you program a route, you can then replace the map CD with a music CD and the CN+ will remember the route, however in this situation, it will only remember the exact route you programmed. I you go off course, the CN+ will not get you back on course.
To overcome this problem some people, including myself have fitted an mp3 CD Changer emulator such as Loudlink or Dennison. These devices connect to the CN+ CD changer connector and can be controlled by the CN+ buttons and play music from an SD card. By using this as a music source, the map CD can stay in the CN+ permanently.
If the map and phone are not working on your CN+, do you have a map CD in the CD slot, and a SIM card fitted in the SIM card holder?
