Technical Stilo Abarth-Manual?

So...they made and sold a manual Abarth in the UK?

Yes mines a manual, there not quite as common as the selespeed versions they only really came in around the 2004/5 mark. I'm interested in knowing weather it shares its box with other models?

It would appear that from what eper says, that the Stilo Abarth gearbox (55186230) isn't used in any other Fiat/ Lancia/ Alfa car.

I often think for Motorway driving it could have done with a sixth gear...

Was there not a thread a while back where someone fitted a six speed Alfa box to his Abarth? Just bolted on iirc

I often wondered wether the coupe LE 6 speed would fit? It's a totally different gearbox to the Abarth one but the stilo block is the same as the coupe one (in 20v guise). Or the maybe the bits inside are the same? It would be interesting to know because if my box goes pop it would be really difficult to source a new one? The last one I saw on eBay, the chap wanted £300 for it
