When my bravo is moving really slowly and i want to stick it in 1st, it just wont go in, unless i really force it in, if i stop the car then try it goes in 1st fine. 2nd is also tricky. any ideas anyone?

Put it in 1st while moving, it destroys the synchro.

Even if it's only crawling along at 5mph? I won't have done any damage to the gear box will I? I also used to put it in 1st from reverse so the car is still moving backwards? will that mess up the synchro?

It doesn't help it. Going from reverse to 1st while still moving backwards means the synchro hub has to stop the gearbox and clutch turning and then make it all turn backwards before it will go into gear.
