Dear all Multipla owners,
Many of the Japanese Multipla owners' club I belong to have worried about the sticky rubber panels around metre and/or stereo.
When we push the panels accidentally or intentionally, especially in every Japanese summer in which temperature can reach 35 deg-C outside and more inside cars, the panels deform and never return. They look like half-dried paper clays.
Some members are trying to fix them by themselves. They remove all the sticky surfaces and paint the remaining parts in mat black. It is not a good solution because we like the intact rubber surface finish. But replacing the panels with new ones is very costly in Japan, where only 800 Multiplas were sold.
Is there any solution? Any comment will be appreciated.
